I’m Alexa, a DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) advocate with expertise in disability awareness, education, and job coaching.
I’m currently available for speaking engagements, including Self-Advocacy for Children and Youth, Disability Etiquette Training for employees in any line of work, and Overcoming Diversity (NEW!) — let’s talk!
Get to Know Me
Welcome to my website! I’m an accomplished advocate and activist dedicated to championing disability rights. I’ve devoted my life and career to empowering people with disabilities, working on public policy, community organizing, and accessibility initiatives. With more than 15 years as a public speaker and disability etiquette trainer, I combine my lived experience and professional expertise to educate diverse audiences, from students to first responders, fostering more inclusive and equitable communities.
As a 34-year-old with Cerebral Palsy (CP) who uses a wheelchair to get around, I don’t let my physical limitations stop me from living a full life, pursuing my passions, and inspiring others to do the same. Please browse around to learn more about me.
Educational Excellence
I attended public elementary and high school as a mainstreamed student, where I excelled academically while building strong bonds with teachers and students of all abilities. After high school, I received my A.A. in Behavioral Science from Santa Rosa Junior College then moved to Sacramento and lived independently while attending Sacramento State University. I graduated in 2014 with a B.A. in Child Development.
Living Life to the Fullest
I live in Rocklin, California with my husband, Irving. When we’re not working, we enjoy spending time with loved ones, including our “fur babies” Barley and Pepper, exploring the local area, and road-tripping to visit friends and experience new places.
